Designed for commercial and residential exterior installations requiring vivid, authentic color evidence around the clock over traditional coaxial infrastructure, the Dahua DH-HAC-HFW1209CP-LED delivers genuine 2-megapixel 1080p Full HD resolution ($1920 \times 1080$) at up to 30 frames per second. Unlike traditional infrared bullet cameras that switch to black-and-white night vision in the dark, this Full-Color Starlight camera presents high-quality color images with clear details even in pitch-black zero-lux environments.

The optical assembly features an oversized 1/2.8" Starlight CMOS sensor paired with an F1.6 large-aperture fixed lens, gathering significantly more ambient light than conventional F2.0 lenses. This enables rich color rendition down to 0.005 Lux before supplemental illumination is required. In zero-lux pitch darkness, the camera automatically engages its warm white supplemental LED, projecting balanced illumination up to 20 meters (66 ft) without blinding subjects or causing harsh glare. This makes recognizing vehicle paint shades, clothing tones, and human complexion straightforward and conclusive.

The camera is offered in two focal length options: an ultra-wide 2.8mm lens delivering an expansive $106.0^\circ$ horizontal field of view ($126.2^\circ$ diagonal) for wide compound coverage, or a standard 3.6mm lens ($86.9^\circ$ horizontal FOV) tailored for driveways, entrance lanes, and narrow property boundaries. The integrated 3-axis mounting bracket allows flexible manual orientation ($360^\circ$ pan, $90^\circ$ tilt, $360^\circ$ rotation) for surface mounting on exterior walls, ceilings, or overhang soffits.

Unlike the "-A-LED" suffix variant which incorporates an integrated microphone, this standard "-LED" model is dedicated strictly to clean, high-performance color video surveillance, making it suitable for privacy-sensitive installations where environmental sound recording is prohibited. The camera features a 4-in-1 switchable BNC output compatible with HDCVI, AHD, TVI, and CVBS formats, ensuring backward compatibility with third-party DVRs.

Constructed inside an all-weather IP67-certified weather-sealed engineering plastic enclosure, the camera withstands heavy tropical monsoon rains, fine airborne dust, and high humidity across operating temperatures from –40 °C to +60 °C. Image stability across tricky ambient lighting is maintained through Digital WDR (DWDR), 2D Noise Reduction (2D NR), Backlight Compensation (BLC), and Highlight Compensation (HLC)
